That’s ‘hello summer’ if you didn’t know, certainly what you’ll find in Lloret De Mar!

Situated on the Costa Brava, the resort attracts many holiday-makers, from families to party-seeking 18-30’s crowds. Whatever you’re after, you’ll find it, with everything for the perfect summer getaway.

Flights leave the UK regularly, with great deals to be had. Deduct the cost of your great-value airport extras and you’ll be counting the extra Euros before you know it! Give Bristol airport parking a try, saving you time and money.

Why not fly direct to Barcelona and spend a few days in the city first? Luton airport parking is great value when flying to the Catalonian city.

Lloret De Mar itself has much to offer, with a fantastic main beach, offering water-sports. Bars and restaurants line the beachfront, offering welcome refreshment in the heat. Nearby WaterWorld is an alternative and a great day out for the kids – sure to tire them out for a good night’s sleep!

If you prefer to get out and about, there are many historical ruins to explore. Head to the Church of Sant Roma, a beautiful gothic church from 1522. The architecture is stunning and certainly one for the camera, with Renaissance and Byzantine influences on display.

I bet you’re surprised this resort has so much history, but we’re not done yet! Castle of Sant Joan is an 11th century medieval castle. Only the tower remains nowadays, but the panoramic views are stunning – another one for the camera. For more views, Santa Clotilde Gardens offer enough height for more photographs, standing on top of a cliff.

If you’re feeling energetic, you can hire a bike and take in some of the scenery on your own, yet its easy to get around with a good bus network and plentiful taxis. Be sure to agree your price first and you’ll find its a relatively cheap and effective way to get around.

The famous monument of Lloret De Mar is of course the huge bronze statue of the Fisherman’s Wife. She stands imposing at the end of the beach, erected in 1966 to celebrate Lloret De Mar’s millennium. There’s a famous myth – touch her foot whilst looking to the horizon, and your dreams will come true! That’s too good an opportunity to miss if you ask me!

Being a summer resort, there are many excursions available. Be sure to haggle your deal! Jeep safaris are a great way to get into the countryside and usually involve a water-fight in the height of summer – great fun! Mini golf is available – maybe an early evening activity, and karting is great fun. Want to explore what lurks below the Mediterranean? Many boat trips leave daily, with opportunities to dive and visit the underwater residents. A boat trip itself is a great day out – just remember your sun-cream and hat!

When the sun sets, Lloret De Mar comes very much alive! There’s something for everyone, with quiet restaurants and cafes, hotel-based entertainment with kids’ discos, and many nightclubs and bars for those wanting to party until dawn. You won’t be bored!

Whilst you’re here, try some traditional Spanish food, with paella and gazpacho – both delicious.

Lloret De Mar offers everything a summer holiday should, leaving you chilled-out, probably tanned, and thanks to great deals available, it won’t break the bank. Give Heathrow airport parking a try when flying from the capital.

So if you want a typical chilled-out holiday – give Lloret de Mar a try this summer.
